Marnus Labuschagne Omitted from Australian ODI Team to Face Team India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from Australia's three-match ODI series versus India, with in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw receiving a surprise selection.
Recent Form Lead to Exclusion

The 31-year-old has featured in 68 one-day internationals and scored 1,871 ODI runs at an average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now work towards a return to the Test side ahead of the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.

There have been indications of a improvement in form with 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw made a century for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.
Renshaw could to make his white-ball international debut in the upcoming series against India after last being included in an ODI squad in 2022.
He has played 14 Tests with the most recent appearance in India in 2023 but is also seeking a return to the Test team as Australia look for a answer to their top-order woes.
Pace Additions and Injury Updates
Fast bowler Mitchell Starc is back for the ODI series against India after taking a break since starring for Australia in the 3-0 Test series sweep of West Indies in July.
BBL performer Mitch Owen could make his ODI debut after suffering a concussion in the build-up to Australia’s last 50-over series against South Africa.
Skipper Pat Cummins remains on the sidelines as he hopes to heal from a spinal issue by the time to lead Australia in the first Ashes Test in November.
